IMO you're comparing the wrong people.
It's not Iosivas vs Boyd.
It's Boyd vs Gesicki, the team's 3rd option now.
Iosivas should be compared to the team's 4th option when Boyd was on the team.

Bengals evolved their offense to focus more on TE in the passing game once Boyd left.

I don't think WR3 has to be the 3rd option in the offense nor has to have 600+ yards of production.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
