To those saying the team dragged their feet, or waited too long, etc.; they waited until OTAs to know if Burk and/or the kids they drafted could do the job. This is no different than how they released Levi Jones (and others). Pratt was under contract, so they retained his rights. Once they were content that they would not be losing out by moving on from him, they let him go.
