Were the Chiefs cheap is not a valid question because their way produced 2 more super bowls. 

I don't know--and i doubt--the Bengals could have received the same compensation that the Chiefs did, with the same results. My doubt is validated by the Bengals MO in the last 3 decades. 

Burrow is geat and capable of winning a championship, but he can't do it 'on his own'. Mahomes is the greatest finisher in NFL history and he's done things at the end of games, consistently, that Burrow has not shown yet. So while he's better in some regards, he's not better at being able to win rings yet.
