If it's SoP in the NFL, then i don't have a problem with the Bengals introducing it in their contracts, even if they've not done it before. Being a guinea pig of a particular franchise, when others do it, isn't a valid reason to complain.
That's not the only thing though. If you're going to have that language, then it comes down to the guarantee payout. If other teams are doing it equitably, the Bengals should do the same. Introducing the language and then trying say a 20/80 or 30/70 split from signing to future, isn't fair. If it's a 50/50 split, Stewart doesn't really have a leg to stand on.
