Being a guinea pig of a particular franchise, when others do it, isn't a valid reason to complain. To me this is all starting to be a joke. First let me say, the FO does screw the pooch a time or two and we have every right to be pissed at them. Now, there have been many post on here, calling for the Bengals to start operating like other winning franchises. Like paying more guarantee money, structuring contracts or whatever. Enter the Knucklehead clause and the FO institutes that into this years contracts and are vilified for it, because Stewart doesn't want it.
That's not the only thing though. If you're going to have that language, then it comes down to the guarantee payout. If other teams are doing it equitably, the Bengals should do the same. Introducing the language and then trying say a 20/80 or 30/70 split from signing to future, isn't fair. If it's a 50/50 split, Stewart doesn't really have a leg to stand on.
