Pollack's philosophy just didn't work, especially for our offense. His "glass eaters" BS was outdated, and we tried for years to make it work with physically overmatched players that had "grit" and "want to". It was especially mismatched with an offense that wanted to run a lot of wide zone, which requires more athletic linemen capable of making reach blocks and second level blocks.
