Also Gronk did that time while at least 25 pounds heavier, Andrews at least 15 pounds, Eifert at least 10. (If this kid's self-reported weight can be trusted to be accurately high.)
Fair, but the average 40-time for TEs is 4.67, so a 4.70 is right there.
It's possible for a TE even in today's NFL to be successful with around that speed.
If Klare can run probably 4.72 or faster along with demonstrating proven receiving ability and not have much of a dropoff after transferring to Ohio St, he could be a high draft pick.
Teams value blocking in TE of course, but you're more likely to see a receiving TE with less blocking ability be taken earlier compared to a TE who is a great blocker but far less experience/proven ability as a pass catcher. Certain teams though do care about having their TEs block more than others.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
