But we do know for a fact, Bengals shelled out a ton of cash in 2025 which you downplay constantly.
FYI, Denver signed Barron leaving only Stewart as #1 not signed. He got almost a 10 million signing bonus (cash) so that is the floor for additional cash needed to sign our 1st round pick. Barron was pick #20 and Stewart #17.
The Cap is an accounting tool so when you unnecessarily inflate that in year 1 you limit the amount of cash you can spend. The Bengals did spend alot but they could've left themselves alot more room to spend more money and sign more talent. That is undeniable. Also yes they need the cash to pay Stewart but his cap hit will be smaller and leave plenty of space to spend more money.
