I remember watching Trey almost unable to walk in the KC games he was going so hard. Does anyone really think he has many more seasons like that in him at his age?
I've heard the data suggests players with his Trey age and production metrics that outside of injury they tend to gradually decline. Not sure how big of a sample size that's from or how much we want to trust historical trends. But there is data that suggests in 3 or 4 yrs he could still be a 10 sack guy.
To me the last year doesnt seem to count. Give him a 3 year extension so keeping him 4 more years. If he starts to drop off you can get out of it early.
