The age-to-performance issue was the mistake which led to the loss of Whit (Bengals should have tagged him).
Although a DE will not last as long as a T in this game, because of the physicality needs of the position; however, I feel that Trey's game can age well if there are no serious injuries.
Von Miller's game which is built on speed and bend, started suffering around age 31, because of severe ankle and ACL injuries. Then he lost his speed to power.
So, a two year extension, which means we have him for three years till he turns 32 would be ideal. I thought Bengals were not interested in an extension, but based on Tobin's recent comments, it seems Bengals are looking at an extension.
