His versatility and the extra versatility he allows for the Bengals are the focus, not just what he adds as a pass catcher. 

Yes, Au165 and Synric both did nice breakdowns of what a multi-dimensional player like Fant brings to the offense. Not only in raw pass catching and blocking ability, but more so in the ability of the offense to not give away a play based upon personnel on the field, i.e. the ability to run or pass as equally effectively from the same formation and personnel package.
