I thought that could have been coached though, not needing to just move on from the dude.
Either way, I didn't feel like a new LB (especially what some would argue is a 2-down LB in a similar mold in DK) was really needed over some other positions of need without needing to reach.

I think he was not wrapping up and go for FF was why the ball carriers dragged him down the field was his point too.
