Not sure if fans booing (which they were) or fact that he got his feelings hurt when Hue showed he would try to score if Bengals did not get 1st down is what changed his mind. 

But he certainly looked content going into halftime without a 2 minute offense being run until both happened.

The Elliot Harrison dude from NFL Network says the Bengals won because of the hailmary and that he thought the Browns could have won that game. See the video from the 1:27 mark. I don't think he actually watched any of the game at all.
