It certainly wouldn't shock me if that happened, but if the defense continues to struggle, I would have to think it hurts his chances. But you never know what Mike is thinking.

He and Mike are longtime friends, so you never know. In a recent SI interview, he said he wasn't eager to coach again unless it was a 'good opportunity'.
