While the Ravens are expected to match last season with a 2nd year QB, and the Steelers are expected to be all that and a bag of chips again (gee, there's a surprise). Cleveland, with a new head coach is expected to be over 500% and continue to improve, while the Bengals, with a new head coach, must necessarily take a step backwards this year.... and go 4-12. I just hope I can find betting odds saying the same thing. 4 wins? If I can find that, I am going to make them pay badly.....
People will always be skeptical of brand new HCs to teams with a losing record the year prior.
I just looked back at 2017 preseason predictions and ESPN had the Rams at 3 wins and 49ers at 2 wins.
The Rams went on to win 11 games.
49ers won 6. 49ers might have won more too if Garoppolo didn't get hurt, as the team was 5-0 with him as the starter.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
