IF building through the draft is so important...why don't we have more scouts?

Because they want as trim of an organization as possible. Maybe not necessarily completely due to financial constraints, but having fewer staff members allows for easier and quicker collaboration. It's a lot easier to get 2-3 people in a room to discuss something and come to an agreement than it is 10 people.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
