Reds sign Pedro Strop
#6
The only thing that really worries me with Strop is his age, 34, but last season was his worst in some time, but it's not like he just fell off the cliff like a couple of others did last season with the Reds, Hughes and Hernandez. I doubt the Reds keep him around long if he comes right out looking like a hot mess. They have other options.
Bullpens are not very predictable for any team as most bullpen arms are generally failed starters anyway. Most are one inning away from the end of their careers, but occasionally some will hang around for years with a lot of success. If last year was an outlier for Strop and he bounces back we'll have gotten a winner. He's low risk, high reward.
In the immortal words of my old man, "Wait'll you get to be my age!"

Chicago sounds rough to the maker of verse, but the one comfort we have is Cincinnati sounds worse. ~Oliver Wendal Holmes Sr.
