I did see that news this morning but I didn't (and still don't) see anything about looking like a Day 3 pick.
From the article you linked, it doesn't say what compensation they are seeking, just that AllBengals tossed out the idea of a Day 3 pick.
When I click on the tweet by Chad Forbes, it doesn't say anything about expected compensation.

If it happens though for a Day 3 pick, I stand corrected and admit I was wrong.
