Yeah, the Steelers ain't letting Bell go until they've run the wheels right off him.

Give him about 330 carries, 80 catches. If he holds together in one piece, consider re-tagging him and do it again. Then say goodbye. (Or trade him at the deadline if you're out of contention.)

RBs just aren't worth big multi-year contracts anymore. Much less one with balky knees.

Did Berry end up not getting tagged? Should be interesting to see where he goes.

Kc is reportedly trying hard to sign him before the tag deadline.  If successful they are likely to tag Poe.  In other news the sky is blue, Mikey sits on a stack of cap space and we sign none of our own.

Why don't we tag Zeitler?

I would tag Zeitler...even if it's to trade him. We can get a draft pick out of him instead of just losing him for nothing.

Word out of Pittsburgh is that Bell is going to be absolutely enraged about being tagged.

Because then we'd have to pay him big money.  Seems like the Bengals have no interest  in keeping him.

The FT # is too high.  OL are all lumped together when determining the tag amounts, so we'd basically be paying a RG top 5 LT money.

He should feel fortunate.  The guy is made of glass.

There is no distinction of position for OL when it comes to the tag. So they would have to pay him $14.8m in 2017. That's an absurd number for anyone on the OL, let alone a non-LT.

He gets hurt every year.  Between being hurt and being in trouble he hasn't played a full season.

Not to mention he's making $12.75m

Hard to be too enraged about making almost $13m in one year. Even more so for a RB in the modern NFL.
