***Official 2017 NFL Draft Day Thread***

That makes me feel a bit better, as if he cannot play immediately then to me it is an auto-bust. I'm tired of these picks that never get on the field.

Marvin has said that he has a great shot at returning kicks this year.
You can always trust an dishonest man to be dishonest. Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to look out for.

You want Ross, go for it.  But not at 9.  KC gives up a boatload to get to 10.  Trade down to the mid teens and still get Ross or one of the sliding impact D players.

REP after seeing things are panning out here.

Browns traded down with the Texans...they now have 2 first rounders and 3 second rounders next year.
Barnett before Allen.

What do we have in Core?

i have not been vocal in support of this pick, mostly just worried about speed guys and injuries and Bengals have not usually went for speed at WR.. so i have to give them credit to break out of the mold on this pic.. i wanted Allen ( still on board so maybe his injuries a bit more) also great stat... Bengals top 10 5 of last 6 years in scoring defense... i know our scoring offense over the same period can;t say that... So maybe Ross is part of a the missing piece .................SPEED

Allen keeps following... Barnett picked ahead of him.. i think Ravens will get Allen

So who starts Lafell or Ross?

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!
The run on WR's started you had to take him or he wouldn't be there on a trade down. If they identified WR was a need than that was the right call. I was one of the biggest no on Ross at 9 guys all process, but I am at piece with this pick. He can be legit if he stays healthy, we will see.

By the way Howard and Allen got passed up on for Barnett, so take that for what it's worth.
Looks like Balt is going to get their Ed Reed back or OJ Howard

Did you watch our pass rush last season? have you watched  us  on defense for the past 10 years? This team loves Defensive Ends that can play inside that's why Allen is the perfect fit for us.

I love Allen as a prospect, too, however, look at the numbers.  We were 24th in scoring offense and 8th in scoring defense last year.  It's not hard to see why they went Ross.  They don't want to lose a bunch of 17-13 games.

With Barnett coming off before Allen, I wonder if there's something there we don't know about.

There's a reason they're falling.

Both have insanely high injury concerns.

Obviously, they are even more serious than we have been told.

Spot on Beaker and to the people saying Allen was what we needed i agree, but maybe not as bad as Ross.

We have a couple guys on the D-line that could be very good in Billings and Hardison, we will see and we still
have 10 picks to go and maybe more if we trade AJM. Step off the ledge and just picture Green, Ross and Boyd
tearing up Defenses. The O-line was not going to be taken care of in this round people.

Guess what team everybody wants again in the Official Board Mock next year

We gotta realize that not only did the Bengals pass on Allen and Howard at 9...but 10, 11, 12,13 and 14 have all passed on them also. Maybe the FO knows more than we do.

I think Barnett will be the best of the rushers in this draft.  Just my opinion though...

If they trade back and then someone takes Ross, guess what? No first round WRs left.

They were not going to be 2016'd again.

I don't blame the Bengals at all for jumping on the playmaking WR they've been wanting for 2 years now when they had the opportunity.

Especially when the other 2 receivers they wanted were taken ~10 picks higher than they were "supposed" to be taken.
Allen is still there cause some teams listen to medical reports. cough cough Ross.

Go back in our draft history and look at the ridiculous history of early round picks either getting injured or being drafted injured and thus missing their rookie season. When it happens as often as it does to vus you have to start questioning the selections.

The ravens needed a WR. That was our plan all along once we saw the other 2 WRs go off the board.
The Browns pick #25 now right? Would AJ McCarron be worth that pick to them?
Everything in this post is my fault.
