For real, usually a run in the second in my mocks, which even then is too rich for my taste.

It's not just you man, same thing happens in my mocks too.  QB's are flat going early.

Yep. There's too many good options in the 4th round for a QB, that i've seen.

I have exceptions for guys I'd take early but not 1-2 early, probably not 3-4 early. Too many good players in those rounds plus some quality QBs later.

My stragedy is a little different...

I'm tweaking my draft, based off last year where i started off 8-2 before my WRs got injured and/or went in the tank. And that's with the best RB at the time, CMC, not doing anything at all for me.

There are a ton of top players besides Hendrickson who are not set yet, and many top RB's, WR's and QB's could end up on other teams, or end up playing, or not play at all.  I'm glad we aren't drafting too early.  Tecmo has one upside he hasn't mentioned at picking 12 and 13, and that is #1 Waiver spot.  Take Washington last night.  If they trade their top RB, that means not only is he on another team, but it means somebody new becomes Washington's #1 RB.   In the Mock Drafts it says Mixon is out but not injured, but will score points, which confuses the heck out of me.....Again, I'm just glad we aren't drafting too early this year, because many top players in NFL are unclear where they will play, or if they will play.  Those that have good Waiver spots early will grab starters we aren't even seeing in the mock drafts.  Plus in our league, if you use a top waiver and go back to the bottom, in a few weeks you are back to the top again. Due to NFL players so unsure of where they will be playing this season, there will be steals in early Waiver Pools. The Washington RB up for trade and Hill of Dolphins and many others. A lot of trades coming, meaning a lot of new starters getting playing time.

We've known 27th at 7 PM for some time now, and most of us agreed that was a good time. The majority has been for this set time.  Anyone who cant make it should have spoke up a month ago. For the majority on here, let's go on set time, full speed ahead.  Plus, there have been some who don't make it over the years, but the Auto Picks give them top players and a good team.

Just for funziez, i decided to let the computer draft for me while i watched (shut up Mike!).

Got Bo Nix at QB.  Sick Sick Sick Sick Sick Sick
Had at least 4, maybe 5 starters with a bye in week 12, as well as two backups with week 12 byes.

It was turrrrible.

Could do much worse than Bo Nix at QB.

Just in case at age 70, I'm sick and can't draft. I just did a yahoo mock at my spot and then let yahoo do auto picks.  First it picked my starters except D and K.  Great starters.  Then it picked my bench.  Good bench.  Then it shot me a good D and a good kicker.  I clicked on how I ranked against people doing their own mocks.  Yahoo had me ranked #1 per picks yahoo made for me.  That ain't bad.  So if Me or someone misses the draft, the Yahoo auto will give you what it considers a top ranked team.  I could accept yahoo picking my players and saying I have the top ranked draft team.   It will get your starters locked in before going to bench depth and then D and K.  Not Bad for anybody who might miss the draft.  I thought yahoo did a good job.   At pick 6, it got me Lamb and for a QB Hurts with good RB's and WR and TE in Starters.  On Bench it gave me Herbert as a back-up QB and a good back-up TE and good depth, and seemed to cover starter bye weeks.  Detroit for a Defense and Tampa Kicker to finish off.  Yahoo drafted better than some of my mocks.

So I plan on drafting next Wednesday at 7 PM......but in testing how Yahoo does auto picks if you miss, yahoo makes good top board picks on your team needs. It won't just load you up at one position. The person unhappy yahoo gave him Nix at QB, then I'm sure yahoo gave him top of board WR's and RB's and TE, and on his bench a good QB.  Anybody can go on and let it do a mock auto draft at your spot in draft, and you will see yahoo may not get the players you might take, but it gets you a top ranked draft if you miss the draft.  Nix is not ranked high, so this must have been one of those mocks where everybody goes QB early, so computer got him the best RB's and WR's being passed over.
