Bizzare death in LA
#1
Quote:A man who lived in a home filled with guns and whose decomposed body was found in an SUV in Pacific Palisades was believed to be a human/alien hybrid secretly working with the U.S. government by his fiancée and a missing Oxnard woman who worked for her, according to the fiancée’s  mother.

Dawn VadBunker of Oxnard was last seen by her family on the same day 60-year-old Jeffery Lash died. Lash has not been officially identified as the man whose body was reported to police on July 17, but his former attorney confirmed his name to KTLA.

VadBunker’s mother believes her 39-year-old daughter has been caught in the middle of a mysterious death investigation and may be suffering from a mental breakdown.  According to Laura VadBunker, her daughter believes Lash was an alien “sent to earth to protect us.”

“I can’t believe this,” Laura VadBunker told KTLA in a telephone interview. “It’s worse than a Twilight Zone movie and we’ve lived through hell.”

Lash’s body was discovered by police in an SUV in the 1700 block of Palisades Drive. Police were alerted to the body by an attorney representing the victim’s fiancée, Catherine Nebron, who is also Dawn VadBunker’s employer.

Lash collapsed about two weeks before he found by police in the parking lot of a Bristol Farms in Santa Monica, Nebron told her attorney, Harlan Braun. She and Dawn VadBunker tried to help him, but Lash died, Laura VadBunker said.

Lash did not want to be taken to a hospital or have anyone call 911, Braun said.

Nebron and Dawn VadBunker believed Lash was a secret government agent, but not entirely human.

“He was part alien and part human and was out to save the world,” Laura VadBunker said.

Nebron didn’t notify authorities when Lash died because she thought the secret agencies he worked for would come and collect his body, she told Braun.

She left him in her SUV near their home and went to Oregon with Dawn VadBunker, whose family reported her missing two days later. Braun confirmed that Nebron fled to Oregon with VadBunker, who was reported missing by her family, prompting an Oxnard police investigation.

After two weeks, no one had come to get Lash’s body.

“When she came back, she was shocked that the agencies hadn’t picked him up,” Braun said. “So then she decided she’d better call police.”

Nebron contacted Braun, who initially thought her story was “crazy,” but he called LAPD. Officers sent to the home indeed found a decomposing body. Then, they found a weapons cache that Nebron had described to Braun.

“At first I thought it was craziness, but there’s just too much corroboration,” Braun said.

Inside the home, detectives found more than 1,200 firearms — including handguns, rifles and shotguns — as well as more than 6 tons of ammunition, according to Braun. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the finding of the body and the weapons cache on Monday, saying more than 2 tons of ammunition were found.

There were also a number of SUV’s modified for use on different types of terrains, including an amphibious vehicle, he said.

Braun also claimed police found $230,000 in cash, which his client knew nothing about.

As for Dawn VadBunker, she has still not returned from Oregon or called her parents or her children, her mother said.

She did send a letter in which she confirmed she was there when “Bob” died and that he “fought to stay alive,” according to her mother.

Sounds to me like he may have made a business in the illegal gun trade.

Not sure it's that "bizarre", aside from the fruit loops girlfriend.

He has several new unused cars, amphibious ones at that. A spotless record, or at least nothing that indicates he was some sorta boss. Throw in a missing female and his story that he worked for the govt- that his GF believed, who works in the legal field if I read the story correctly, which doesn't exclude her from being crazy but certainly helps dispel that notion. Yeah this is anything but ordinary, in other words it is in fact bizarre. He also had anywhere from two to upwards of 7 tons of ammo, which is unusual too.

Yup....the girlfriend is insane. You could see that was the case as soon as she started talking about alien/human hybrid government agents.

Gun hoarders are some of the weirdest people. I met one once. A friend's brother in law needed help moving some gunsmith equipment from a box truck to his business partner's house. This guy was beyond bizarre and extremely paranoid.

We go into his house and it's a hoarder's dream. Then we go to the basement, but there's no steps. You have to climb down a ladder to get there. He's got this giant safe with all of these guns in there. He had tons of loose parts of guns he bought from former soviet states. He also had a ton of bee keeping shit, lol.

1. Jeffrey Alan Lash dies on or around July 4'th, this year, yet his bod remains undiscovered for two weeks.

2. A high profile defense attorney, Harlan Braun, is hired by a woman, one Catherine Nebron, who claims to be his fiancee. She tells the attorney that Lash died two weeks prior, and he contacts the police to report the dead body.

3. The body apparently sat in a parked car, on a street in an affluent neighborhood, for the two weeks, unnoticed, or at least unreported.

4. The police trace the at-that=time unidentified body to a nearby home, wherein they locate more than 1,200 assorted high-end weapons - handguns, rifles, shotguns - and what is at that time estimated to be at least two tons of ammunition. The police spend days removing these items, stating that this was done to prevent them from being stolen from the home.

5. Lash was known to neighbors as simply "Bob", or "Bob Smith", and neighbors claimed he told them he worked for some government agency, such as the FBI or CIA, and also that he said he cold teach them some defense moves. He reportedly kept to himself.

6. After the initial report of death, which included only the dead man, the weapons and ammo, the fiancee's story hits the news, in part. She claims, through her attorney, that Lash told her he worked for a government agency, and that said agency had been following him recently. She stated that Lash got too hot, and that she and two others, unnamed, tried to cool him down with ice, but he died. She claimed further that she left the body in the car because she assumed said agency would take care of his body. She then proceeded to take a two-week trip to Oregon.

7. Further updates on the guns and ammo up the ammo amount to 6.5 tons.

8. Meanwhile, another woman, Dawn VadBunker, is reported missing by her adopted parents. she was adopted a couple of years ago, as an adult, is 39 years old, with two grown children, and lives with her adopted parents. She left to meet her boss on July 3'rd, planning to return home to help with a 4'th of July party, but didn't show up. Instead, they received a text from her phone, telling them she planned to be gone a couple more days. When she didn't show, or answer attempts to contact her by phone, and the parents couldn't reach her boss, either, they reported her missing. On July 15'th, police in Oregon spot her car, and make contact at a motel. They have her contact the police back in California, but she doens't contact her parents. She still hasn't done so.

9. The missing woman's boss is Catherine Nebron. Also, VadBunker is apparently one of the other two people present at the time of Lash's death.

10. VadBunker's mother, Laure VadBunker, reports that her daughter claims Lash was, along with working for various government agencies, an alien-human hybrid, here to protect the earth. We are told that both Dawn VadBunker and Catherine Nebron believe this. Braun, the attorney, then states that Nebron claims Lash told her to leave his body in one of his vehicles, claiing that he told her one of the agencies would take care of him.

11. Lash also owned at least fourteen vehicles, set up for combat, maybe, and all sorts of terrains, including one for underwater, or maybe just amphibious. Some of the vehicles aren't accounted for.

12. Police located $230,000 in cash in the home, which Nebron claims she didn't know existed.

13. There are apparently some storage units still waiting to be searched.

14. To date, the body, stated to be Lash, has not officially been identified, nor has an official cause of death been stated. It has been stated that he was in the late stages of some sort of cancer.

15. To date, the police claim there is no suspicion of foul play. Neither Nebron or VadBunker has been arrested, and the third person remains unnamed.
16. The 3rd person is still unnamed but is believed to be a doctor.
17. The high profile lawyer was involved in a case in the 80's involving Iran contra and unnamed CIA operative(s). It could just be this guy that died.

The car he used most was fitted with $100,000 in bullet proofing.
He and one of the woman, or both ( going from memory from what I've read often dined at one particular restaurant. When the owner of said restaurant is interviewed, he states that Lash always ordered raw filet mignon. RAW. And many times wouldn't allow the woman to eat. The owner also states that Lash would go out of his way to avoid cameras and video recorders. He says that patrons would occasionally take photos at the restaurant and Lash would become annoyed by this.

Lash also at some point in the 90's hit four of his neighbors cars and pleaded with them not to call authorities as he could and did pay for the damages in cash.

Nobody knows where he came into his wealth.

His father either owns or is an employee ( it isn't quite clear yet ) of a microbiologist lab. He's a microbiologist.

Lash disappeared for several yrs.

One of the properties associated with Lash was boobie trapped with guns aimed at the door. Either that property or another had high explosives, enough according to officers on the scene to destroy the whole neighborhood.

This story is in fact bizarre.

Of course.

But let's not make any presumptions.

The police can't pin any illegal activity on him. Those guns are high end types, which isn't conducive to gun running for any illegal enterprise. In general terms, criminals want cheap(er) weapons. Plus they were all registered under his name, last I read. That's not conducive to gun running either. The guy had a spotless record save a concealed carry charge that was dismissed. Most criminals have some sort of record because they all start out bumbling, for the most part.

The high profile lawyer says ( paraphrasing ) 'this guys story seems unbelievable but every where we turn, it's collaborated by facts and evidence'.
