(Preseason Week 3) ***Bengals @ Redskins - GameDay Thread***
They didn't even block Glasgow there but I still liked it because he fired off the ball and made the play!

Slick move by Huber even if it turned out terrible..

#39 should be cut by the fourth quarter. Missed blocks on sack and punt.

It's true

Sure cause he's played fewer games.  He played only 5 games in 2016 and 11 games in 2015.  He hasn't played a full season since 2014 and has played for six different teams.  That's not a great kicker.  He's having a good preseason which means nothing  When we get in a game winning situation, he'll let us down again.

Our problems on both sides of the ball are being at least partly caused by playcalling.

While it is true the OL has not looked good the playcalling has also been vanilla and done little to fool defenses on down and distance, which is letting defenses tee off on us.

On defense, Guenther's insistence on playing cover 2 is putting huge pressure on the front 4 to get immediate pressure. If they don't the scheme is tailor made for TEs and RBs to have a field day over the middle. This is exactly why Zim only rarely went into zone and even then was known to specifically assign a DB to the TE.

Yeah, but there is no doubt he has been the best kicker this preseason. Makes for a tough decision.

It really is a BS stat...Mike Nugent is 37 on that list with less than a .5% difference between Nugent and Bullock.

Is there anyone else in the NFL that's attempted that many?

And, has Elliot had an attempt over 45 yards yet?

I think Justin Tucker nailed like 4 of 50+ in Week 2 alone.

So we take the average kicker who had a good preseason, which means nothing.  And another team will pick up Elliott and do well.  Just watch.  Bullock will let us down in  a game again. I just hate the thought of picking up an average guy like we always do.

I don't think it is as tough as it was 2 weeks ago. I think they're going to carry Elliott on the PS.

This seems lie something you are hoping for. Cannot say I'm a fan of the mentality.

Bullock has looked better than Elliott this preseason and if they take him I will be rooting for him to never miss a kick again.

Stop.

I Agree the percentage stat is BS, but is obvious Bullock has won the job.

Edit: Hey truck the whole "Stop" thing is fun lol.

I'm still going with Elliott getting "hurt".
