Darnold.
Really no reason not to at this point.

You guys know that we'll start the year like 2-7 or 3-8 then win like 4 of our last 5 to mess up our draft pick don't you?!?!?
09-24-2017, 10:24 PM
Do you watch the games? It's the line just like the problem with the running game wasn't the running backs it was the line. We need to address it in the offensive line in the off season period.

No interest in another USC pansy QB who will just get killed behind the OL and we'll have another "quitter" drama.

Yeah I'm hesitant on grabbing another USC QB.
Perhaps Josh Allen or Luke Falk.
Everything in this post is my fault.

Yeah...we'll address the line so that when they are free agents our ownership can let them walk in free agency because they don't believe in spending hat much money on lineman.

Exactly what we'll do, it's as consistent as Marvin's dumb looks we'll be in the 7-9 spot on a down year thanks to late year wins. Marvin will get an extension for improvements made and the nightmare will continue.....

This team is one more rookie quarterback from becoming the Cleveland Browns South. FIX THE LINE!

I'd rather just build an entire offensive line.

Our Oline did a fine job of protecting the QB today,
09-24-2017, 10:34 PM
No way the Bengals will succeed at tanking for the 1st overall pick. They'll get down to like... 2-12, and then do something stupid like win the last two games of the season, putting them at like 3rd overall pick.
Then the 1st overall pick will be a QB, and the 2nd overall pick will be traded to someone for a bajillion picks for a QB.. and then the Bengals will take the 3rd best QB (or the best CB who will sit for 3 years) and suck because they'll keep rolling with Ogbuehi, Bodine, Fisher, Marvin Lewis, and Alexander. ____________________________________________________________

Fisher got punked constantly, Bodine was his usual terrible self and Og also got beat constantly. They even had a graphic on how pressure was on the QB on average in about 2 seconds from snap. That is not a "fine job".

Mike Brown’s Owner/GM record: 32 years 223-303-4 .419 winning pct. Playoff Record: 5-9, .357 winning pct. Zac Taylor coaching record, reg. season: 37-44-1. .455 winning pct. Playoff Record: 5-2, .714 winning pct.

Last year he had a 56.2% completion and was heavily reliant on his legs to succeed (260 rushes, 1,571 yards rushing, 21 TD rushing). That's simply not going to fly for a 6'3, 211lb QB in the NFL. He'd break. Cam Newton is like 250lb-ish and even he's breaking down now after half a dozen years. Luck's 240lbs and ran less, but is still breaking down. RG3 lasted less than 1 year at 218lbs before breaking. Running QBs simply aren't feasible in the long term in the NFL, and certainly not at 211lbs. Even Rapistburger at a billion pounds isn't a runner, but takes as many hits as a running QB would, and he's only make 16 starts in THREE years of his career, and is probably retiring after this year, at least 5 years before Brady. It's not a coincidence that when you look at the QBs who were not only great, but were great for those long 17-19 year careers, they aren't runners. Brady, Manning, Brees, Marino, Favre. (Oddly enough this is only Rodger's 10th year of actually playing. Feels like he's been around a lot longer than that.) ____________________________________________________________
