That's irrelevant.  There isn't a difference as far as the handoff from the I, the difference is for the QB having the better view of the shotgun without forcing the back  to sidestep and be flatfooted at the handoff

Why not get kroft or erikson in the red zone for a quick pass to the end zone? every team knows its always going to go to AJ... and i dont think he has a high % of scoring in the red zone since he is well covered.

I think it is very relevant, there is a timing difference. Mixon has had more than 1 fumble from standard I this season. He has no experience in it.
