He has co trip of players drafted and free agency, players drafted and who plays! This has not been his role in the past 15 years!
Mike Brown is one of the only owners in the league where this is his only source of income! He doesn’t have the multi billion dollar business to back him up! To say he doesn’t care about the team, winning, the fans etc. is a true insult to any business owner! Nobody is going to run my business! I do what’s in the best interest of the business!
I laugh at everyone on here who thought we could get whatever coach we wanted! Be careful what you wish for in my opinion! Marvin would have had a head coaching job in a minute. Teams will bash us until he’s available and then snagged up! My comparison is Vontez! Everyone thinks he’s a thug and should be out of the league but those fans would be pushing there owners to overpay him to sign him to their team!
Marvin could have had 3 jobs today! The complicated situation for him was getting all his demand that he wanted! To me, his time is ticking now. He has the pressure to win now and prove what he can do! He will hire his staff and get the players that he feels he needs!
I can’t wait to watch and will buy the tickets that you season holders will pass on so more of my family, friends and company can watch him turn it around! Go ahead and bash me and I wish I could have posted this in a new thread, but being new to the site, I couldn’t!
The players are all in, they pushed for this! Why can’t us fans of the team! If you can’t support, watch or go to games, your not hurting Mike Brown, your hurting all the players that you wanted drafted, sighted as a FA!
Again, to say an owner doesn’t care makes me sick! He’s a good man that is just running his business!
agreed..now that Mike Browns stepson ..Paul Alexander has been fired

I had to respond this post.
I respect your decision. I wish you and your business all the best.
The Rooney's don't have millions in other resources and the Steelers organization is light years ahead of Bengals. The Bengals are 2-14 In Cincinnati against the Steelers during Marvin's tenure.
I do not know of a single sports team that would retain Lewis with his record over 15 years. Can you name one who has kept a coach with even a remotely similar poor record.
I have been a very loyal and almost always positive fan for 50 years. My dad stood in line and was one of the first season ticket holders. I started changing after the 2015 meltdown loss against the Steelers.
Let's see about next steps. If they do not sign at least 1 high quality free agents- an offensive lineman or a high quality linebacker or safety- it will be more of the same next year with two more losses to the Steelers., no playoffs, poor prime time record, poor second halves, and one and done if they squeak in as a wild card.
Just as I respect your opinion I hope you respect the opinions of long time fans who are fed up with Mike Brown's acceptance of mediocrity or worse.
His business survives only because of the socialist impact of TV money. If he was actually in competition with other teams. his lack of vision and unwillingness to take risks would put him out of business - just like your business or anyone else who has to compete in the market place.

Just kidding. I live a little north of Murray (you probably never heard of Murray State, but that's about all that's here) in a town called... wait for it... Benton. Driving straight through, it's five and a half hours. With two kids, it's never straight through.
You live in a town named after yourself?

Hi Katie, welcome to the board. BTW, tell Vontaze to quit tackling with his head... the concussions are starting to add up....

My favorite is San Miguel in the P.I. !!! I learned a valuable lesson the first time there, don't get drunk on it and then go to the jungle for 3 days!!! Bring plenty of clean undies!

It’s your choice not to go, but to say I’m the problem seems to be a you problem! And to not know a damn thing in what I speak of? Seems like a very lonely person that blames everyone else for their own problems!
I will keep supporting and will not be ashamed of it! Stay in your hole and tell everyone else what to do!
If I always go to a restaurant and they always mess up my order, or the staff/food is of poor quality I will at the very least stop going there. If it's bad enough, or happens enough times I would defiantly tell people to stop going there.
A smart business owner would want to put the best product they can out there. Even if they had to delegate some duties to another person. Yeah, Brown doesn't have another source of income, but lets not act like that's any kind of problem for him. He's making money hand over fist. He probably makes as much profit as most of this board combined.
If you want to continue supporting the Bengals then go right ahead. I know that I spend a decent amount of money on Bengals merchandise/tickets every year, and I don't plan on spending any more money on the Bengals until there's change. I feel like a LOT of fans have this mentality too.

Yep. And I'll still watch cause I'm addicted. (which of course people will say I'm putting money in Browns pocket that way too.) But they won't get any of my money via ticket or any other sales right now until they produce a better product for me.

Um..yeah..If I think the food is not good why would I recommend it to others? If they shut down because of poor food/service that's on them.
If going makes you happy by all means do so. I disagree with their decisions and performance so NOT going is what makes me happy. No other way I can express it except on this board which accomplishes nothing.

Unfortunately, some of you are right MB only cares about leaving a legacy for Kate and his family! We need a parade in Cincinnati . To tell the organization they suck! By the way ML made the statement he want's to bring a World Championship to Cincinnati. But, he did'nt say for what. Could it be ping pong , darts or whatever!

Except Mike Brown doesn't do that. Mike Brown does what's in HIS best interest, not the Bengals. It's in the best interest of the Bengals to try to win as many games as possible in an effort to secure a championship. It's in the best interest of the Bengals to try to win in any and every way possible (within the bounds of the rulebook). It's in the best interest of the Bengals to move on from a coach who CLEARLY has not gotten it done in the past 15 years. It's in the best interest of the Bengals to hire a General Manager that understands that the game of football is different NOW than it was 20 or 30 years ago.
I could go on but I think it's clear that Brown does not do things in the best interest of his business.

Wait till it warms up some, and I might actually drive up for that......might even dust off the Carson Palmer jersey.

How does a coach stick around for 15 years that....
- Has Zero Discipline
- Refusal to play young guys
- Lack of Halftime Adjustments
- Cant win the big game
- 0-7 playoffs
- Keeps thugs on the team (pacMan)
My Bengals marriage is in a state of separation.......
will I still watch a game........probably
will I post and browse here..........yes
will I support Mike Brown and his decision ........no
I'm sorry but how can anyone support this decision? We all know nothing will change until Mike Brown is gone but this is a very low point for US the Fans.....
Does this make me not a fan? Some will say yes.....Some will say Im fair weather..............
I hope the Bengals prove me wrong and win it all next season but Im not getting my hopes up.....

Of course if you just cancel your season tickets your COA reverts to the team and they get to resell it. If you resell them then someone else is committing to buy your tickets. If you have good seats you should offer them up here so that fans can get them instead of ticket brokers.
I'll be renewing again because I enjoy going to the games. I enjoy pro football and the Bengals are my team. I don't get my personal self-worth tied up in it like some folks do. I'm not giving up the seats that have taken me decades to get into under the delusion that it's going to teach Mike Brown some kind of lesson.
The irony of Marvin Lewis is that his greatest achievement has been making fans believe that if they could just be rid of him they could plug in their dream coach and start winning playoff games in no time. The truth is that "Bengals Head Coach Paul Alexander" is probably about as likely as whoever you had in mind.
If Brown had dumped Lewis, even if he hadn't promoted Paul Alexander into the job it's assured that he would have kept all of the control he has had including keeping favorites like Alexander on staff. The team would have settled for a coach who was willing to do without that control to get a foot in Head Coaching door. Even if Lewis doesn't get them a playoff win in the next two years I'm hopeful that this small victory will create a better environment for whoever comes next.

This is about as well-reasoned a response as to "why to keep your tickets" as anything else on here

I have not been to a Bengals game in a few years. I watch them on TV. I will continue to watch the Bengals games on TV in the future. I really don't care Marvin is back. However, now I'm rooting more for Cleveland next year since the Bengals keep making dumb moves (worse than Cleveland now). I actually was more upset with the teams that kneeled during the national anthem.
Who Dey!
