The bfirst Mock
#21
How the combine effected the bfirst mock:

RD 1 EDMOUNDS: As advertised in size and athletic ability. We must remember that he is just 19 years old. RESULT: No change

RD 2 WYNN: Did nothing. RESULT: slight drop

RD 3 GESICKI: Perhaps the star of the combine. One scout said he's afraid he won't be there when they pick in the first round. RESULT: Huge leap

RD 4: RICHARDSON: Prototypical size and decent athleticism. RESULT: slight rise

RD 5: PHILLIPS: Disappointing 40 and lacks size. RESULT: Big Drop

RD 6: PITTMAN: DNP. RESULT: No change

RD 7: BARRETT: Did worse in the measurables than expected, but did better in the passing drills. RESULT: Slight bump

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

If we get Wynn and Edmunds I will be a very happy fan.

Love, love, love the first two picks.

If the Bengals take Gesicki, it would signal a change in philosophy on tight end use.  In the past they have always prioritized blocking -- looking for a TE who can do both, but first the guy has to block.  Except, of course, for the unfortunate Chase Coffman experiment.

"Chase, get a base, Chase, get a base" -- one of the best lines from Hard Knocks.

Edit:  Just looked at Lance Zierlein's mock from yesterday.  He has Wynn and Gesicki both in the first round.   Nervous
