Got a theory on the Pittsburgh trade.
We had back to back picks, and everyone knew Pittsburgh had their eyes on Rudolph.
The trade in front of us was not for fear of us taking him, it was for fear us shopping one of those picks to a team who might want to leap in front of Pittsburgh.

That’s what I was thinking.

Ratings from SI on round 3 choices:
Sam Hubbard B
Poor Michael Johnson had to announce the very pick that’s here to replace him. The Bengals hit twice on mid-round pass rushers last year, finding Jordan Willis in the third round and what appears to be an absolute gem in Carl Lawson in the fourth. If Hubbard can rush the passer from inside, he could steal snaps from Johnson right away. Grade: B Poor Michael Johnson had to announce the very pick that’s here to replace him. Scouting Report: An edge player but not an edge burner, Hubbard is a face-up pass rusher who will win with power, motor and technique more than athleticism. He’s at his best twisting inside on stunts.
Malik Jefferson C+
Cincinnati, who traded up to draft Jefferson, loves developmental front-seven players—and presumably they see Jefferson as a potential running mate for Vontaze Burfict two or three years from now. It’s worth noting that Preston Brown and Vincent Rey will be free agents after this season.
Scouting Report: Once considered the top linebacker recruit in the nation, Jefferson didn’t live up to the hype at Texas. But he has the size and athleticism for the NFL, and he could eventually thrive if asked to play in a more structured system that allows him to run around and hit, rather than try to quarterback a defense and process a lot of info.

And the Steelers only had to give up a 7th round pick to move up. I know it's only three spots, but they gave up nothing to do it. Only they would get that kind of value on a trade.

Was thinking the same, along with the Browns.

Unless we trade back in, could maybe use a 5th and 7th to grab someone else

Is it just me or does anyone else recognize these overpaid players get up to the podium and struggle with their reading skills? They were all drafted from college right?
