Whatever happened the benjarvis green ellis? Hard to believe he hasnt been signed by someone...anyone hear anything about him lately? Maybe he retired. I thought he was a decent player and there are a few teams that could use him.

He took a lot of pounding over the years.  He likely quietly decided to retire, rather than sign for the vet min. somewhere.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

He's still working for Mike Brown.

Yea, i guess he is 30 now, but didnt really have a ton of carries, relatively speaking. Would rather sign him than ray rice in a pinch.

A thousand yard season for us in 2012 and then poof, gone. And, in 6 NFL seasons with 42 TDs, not a one of them was a receing TD, for what's worth.

He was recently just in the news trying to get back in. IMO, RB like him are a dime a dozen. The thing that set him apart from other RB was his ball security. That was clearly not the case here and he now has nothing to set him apart from the pack. If a team gets in a pinch he wouldn't be the worst signing.

Partially deflated footballs are easier to hold on to.

Okay.  Replace leaves with short gray curly hairs and the pool with bath tub.  Happy? [Image: happy.gif]

He wasn't healthy last year, so I guess that partially explains why no one signed him.

Rotoworld has reported that the Texans have had "discussions" about adding him, but take that with a grain of salt.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.

I will say the Bengals know when to part ways with a RB:

Rudi Johnson
Ced Benson
Ben Green-Ellis

The only one I can think of that went on to do anything was Dillon and he forced his way out.

He was a "mediocre" RB at best.

I mean RB's have such short shelf lives that you can release almost any running back and have a 50/50 chance of making the right decision

I believe he had a complete tear of his oblique from the pelvis bone last year and has been rehabbing from that. Read recently he is 100% again and trying to get signed by somebody, anybody.

Yep.  That speaks a lot to deflate gate rumors. He had NEVER fumbled until he left the Patriots.

Too many young guys out there who can give you at least as much as Benny.
