Last year he hit 30 home runs in only 473 at bats. His HR rate has dropped a bit this year (11 in 243) but all of his other stats have improved.
Among NL outfielders with enough plate appearances to qualify Schebler ranks 13th in batting avg (.276), 11th in on base percentage (.350), 7th in slugging (.473) and 11th in OPS (slg + ob%). His batting average and on base percentage are both up over 40 points from last year while his slugging percentage is almost identical.
He is only 27 and plays good defense. Lets hope this year is not just a fluke and he can produce like this for a few more seasons.
