There were no previews.  Just interviews with Bethesda staff hyping it.

Bethesda did not give out any pre-launch media keys.  They didn't want day 1 reviews.

i kinda like not having the media spoil everything before its even out

But i completely understand wanting a review with the way games have been releasing.

I just contrast this to the DA: V marketing, which is putting tons of information out there. Media keys have been out for weeks already.  Reviews are already ready to go on launch day.  They believe in their product and want as much (too many spoilers apparently, but I haven't been listening to details) info. out as possible.  The difference could not be more striking.

I wonder when Bethesda continuing to produce trash, will finally do them in.

i really enjoyed my time in Starfield and looking forward to the expansion.

DA: V looks horrible to me the more they show the less interested i am    (but for Biowares sake i hope it sells very well)

We have VERY different tastes obviously.  I believe DAV will have one of the richest stories they've ever produced, which is saying something.  Graphics/gameplay, etc. are all secondary in a Bioware game, so I roll my eyes at people that think it looks bad.  Doesn't matter.

And it's already hit it's gold mark for sales a month before release.  Bioware will be just fine.

From MrMattyPlays - huge BGS advocate to the point where he secured a private 60 minute interview with the studio head a couple months ago.  His opinion on this DLC -

I haven't been as disappointed in game as Starfield since Dragon Age 2. It's sad that Bethesda games have barely improved since Morrowind.
I have the Heart of a Lion! I also have a massive fine and a lifetime ban from the Pittsburgh Zoo...

Tough to argue the math of 5 hours of content for 30 dollars of more of the same ole same ole.  And it isn't just Matty.  It's pretty much ubiquitous.  BGS is now shyt.  The spiral has begun.

I am glad that you enjoy it though.  It's not my place to steal a mans joy.

In other news.. Alien Isolation Sequel has been officially announced.

No that's the knock took me roughly 4 hours to do the quest line and of course most of the items are retreads with new colors. Nuka World or Far Harbor for Fallout 4 were twice the size of Shattered Space. Very disappointing.

Though i'm sure you're just talking about gameplay, the jump from Morrowind to Oblivion was mind blowing (visually) at the time.

I am still playing echoes of wisdom. Feels a little easy, at 11 hearts - 10 hearts per row. I measure completion % by heart count.

I would say an 8 year old could probably play this and get stuck sometimes, some of the tougher optional challenges a teenager would do.

I get this feeling in a lot of games, but it is very pronounced in Nintendo games. Pokémon, Mario, Zelda are all examples of games that were challenging as a kid but comparatively easy as an adult. Thankfully the devs usually add other mechanics or challenges for the adult crowd. I just picked up Zelda and while I'm enjoying the return to 2D, I hope they added in some tricky aspects as the game goes on.

I have not died yet, but I do create smoothies that are used in boss fights. I would likely die more often without smoothies. I think they didn't intend for this game to be tough, but I'm an adult, I should have probably played in master mode. 13 hearts right now.

Yeah I used to thikn Ninja garden was super hard as a child, I played it once as an adult and got to 6-1 or 6-2 without much trouble lol.
