Training camp news, notes, thoughts, reaction, etc

A look at what Ross brings: he clears out Dre from the right out side spot in a skinny post, leaving Boyd above the defense on the right side for a catch. #Bengals #NFL

YES! This is what I'm hoping to hear. The fear of what he can do, opens up others. Big things are possible with Ross.

Sad thing is....AJ has been quiet in camp, at least for me.

My understanding is that AJ has been AJ. No news on him is good news.

Mixon with a breakaway run from the defense in 11s. #Bengals #NFL

Hopkins at RG and Hart at RT now. #Bengals #NFL

That's what I meant...AJ is forgotten about here (which I'm more than okay with) and that's amazing. Everyone is losing it over Ross/Boyd/Mixon...and here we got a HoF receiver out there.

Gotcha. Yeah I think it just expected of him. The excitement surrounds the unknowns.

Per J. Angelo Carriero:

Ross with another play. #Bengals #NFL

AJ Green with a diving catch on Josh Shaw. #Bengals #NFL

Cordy took Ja’Von Rolland-Jones around Dalton, Dalton fires a pass, AJ gets open last second on Tony McCrae for a fantastic catch. #Bengals #NFL

Away from the play John Ross shows William Jackson the open field and says that’s where I was going (not an exact quote). Both joking around. This has been the most fun matchup of camp. #Bengals #NFL

It seems like everyone is having fun in camp. Last year they seemed a lot more stressed out.

Agreed. Could be because of the drastic changes up on both sides of the ball.

No worries. Unless one is an established starter, expect to see everyone else get rotated to the 2nd and 3rd teams. Coaches want/need to see who can do what in varying circumstances. It helps in recognizing who belongs where eventually. Enjoy the process if you can.

why in the world would they be focusing on Green right now?  Getting those young guys reps is the more important issue right now  We already know what AJ can do.

Winning makes believers of us all

Exactly, we are all familiar with Marvin's training camp "depth charts"..

Per Jeremy Rauch:

Joe Mixon: "Everybody counting us out and that's cool, but we're going to make some noise week one fa sho. It's going to be a really good season. I strongly believe that." #Bengals @fox19

Asked AJ Green if he feels the pressure to deliver this year:

"We have some loyal fans. We feel the pressure. I guarantee that this team will look much better."

I am old so bear with me, but is that 27 (Dre) or 37?

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

Dre switching jerseys so they wouldn’t throw at him?

Didn’t work.

To answer your question, I can’t tell either.
