Well, whoever wrote that is an idiot. We almost always roll with 7 receivers.....

Elliott was a kicker, you know a position that is not often drafted with a 5th round pick or better. 2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

However, considering Erickson was a kick returner last year, he basically filled that position with minimal line work. So maybe we had 6.5? LOL. BTBH, if you have 7 and a few do nothing but ride the bench most of the year, it seems wasteful.

I will also say that the years we had 7, we used all 7 on Gameday, generally; some guys would only get 'teams snaps, like you said, but they all dressed/

LB Brandon Bell passes physical and is cleared to practice. Also returning after missing a couple of practices DE Ja’Von Rolland-Jones. WR Josh Malone is still out with a leg injury. Also not practicing Clayton Fejedelem, Sojourn Shelton, and Tony McRae.

Now would be a great time for us to start being better at covering TEs. Maybe Jessie Bates and Malik Jefferson can help us improve in that respect. Also, is this just a typo from Hobson or is Dre K really playing Safety: https://www.bengals.com/news/camp-report-o-line-pushes-back-as-eifert-comes-back Dalton had another solid day. Just take a look at three straight passes to wide receivers in the team period right after goal line. He hit A.J. Green over the middle, led Tyler Boyd on a drag route to the sideline and threaded a ball between safety Dre Kirkpatrick and rookie safety Jessie Bates for Brandon LaFell.
