We have a 2, 1000 yard receivers and a 1000 yard RB?
I was chastised for wanting it after 2013. Just curious if folks still think it's impossible or unlikely.

I think Andy spreads the ball around too much for it to happen (past A.J.).
MLJ is surely capable of a 1,000 yard season as a #2, but I don't think it will happen due to scheming and Andy throwing to A.J. a bazillion times.

I agree with djs, as long as Andy Dalton is QB, there is little possibility that a 2nd wr gets over 1000 yards because Andy is usually pretty locked on AJ, or whoever his number 1 WR is for that game. IE(That's why Sanu went off those games when AJ was hurt).
Dalton's biggest flaw so far has been his inability to progress through his WR progression. I don't think that somehow changes this year either.

No way Jose. We'll have AJ and Hill do their thing, but the balls between Eifert and MJ will be too spread out

I'll wait. . . .
I laugh when I see you just posting these lies and expecting everyone to believe them. It is all you ever do. It is ridiculous. It is like punching a baby in the throat.

I just noticed that if this is read out of context it may appear that I laugh when I see babies get punched in the throat. Let me assure you that that almost never happens.

I'm not sure we have 6 receivers who can catch more than 400+ yards. My thought would be will we throw the ball enough?

This. And plenty to Eifert too. MLJ might easily be the third guy he looks at.

I don't see it happening unless heaven forbid we have a serious injury to Jones, Sanu or Eifert. Too many weapons.
I think Eifert is the most likely to get a 1000 out of those 3.

If Jay was still oc, I'd probably vote yes.

I'll be bold and say yes. We'll have two receivers over 1,000. AJ and Eifert. What's the Bengals' record for TE receptions?
To each his own... unless you belong to a political party...

Can we please stop propagating this fallacy? Dalton does just fine with going through his progressions, for the most part. The reason why it seems he doesn't go through progressions is, IMO, two-fold: 1) Dalton's pre-read decision-making and 2) his ability to move in the pocket/facing pressure
1) Dalton is really good at reading defenses pre-snap. He knows the play, looks what the defense is giving him, either adjusts the play to something better and/or decides who he is going to throw the ball to. Because most passes Dalton throws tend to be short to medium, he usually decides pre-snap who to throw to and throws it to them. If they are covered, yes, sometimes he tris to force it, but other imes, he looks elsewhere (you know that progression thing).
2) THIS is, IMO, Dalton's biggest flaw. When pressure comes or when Dalton THINKS pressure his coming, he leaves the pocket. If Dalton would learn to just move around in the pocket (step up, step to the side, etc.), not only would his negative stats decrease, but his positive stats would be even better.
I don't see #2 changing this year, to be honest, but I think #1 he does better and with healthy receivers this year, I fully expect Dalton to have his best year ever at QB.

Holy shit, is this real life?
Where did I "lie"? I actually was complimenting Andy for spreading the ball around (unlike the people that say he can't go through progressions, I didn't say that), I merely stated that he likes to throw to A.J. A LOT, which he does. Don't most QBs in the league throw to their top guy if they have a player that's much better than most other guys on the team?
A.J. saw 180 targets in 2013.
MLJ - 80
Sanu - 78
Gio - 71
Gresh - 66
Eifert - 59
Hawkins - 18
I don't know if it's by scheme or by Andy's progressions, but he spread the ball out. He targets his #1 A LOT (like most teams with an elite target), and then really spreads it around to the rest of his targets throughout a season. Andy doesn't just lock into 1/2 guys past his #1.
I exaggerated when I said "a bazillion" (obviously, I'd hope), but the point of my post was 100% accurate, no lies and absolutely no reason for you to go off the deep end like a psychopath.

AJ if he stays healthy should hit 1000
I dont know if we will get a second on i could see Marvin Jones Eifert and Sanu each keeping the others from hitting 1000 but all over 500
If hills starting all year he hits 1000 easy plus what ever receiving yards he gets

I think the biggest reason its preceived he doesnt go thru his progression is he only has the ball in his hands for about 2 to 2.5 seconds most plays.
Sanu went off in those games when AJ was hurt cause he really was the only target on the field that was reliable.

I don't understand what fallacy you are speaking of. This was his knock coming out of college, this has been his knock since he has been here and it will continue to be his knock until he learns how to look off of coverage and stop focusing on his primary receiver, which most of the time is AJ.
Now if you choose to not look at facts and live in la la land, well I can't be the one to convince you of anything different, but I will choose to look at what he actually does and not what I want him to do like others.
