ESPN has new stats based on the new player tracking ability. One of these stats is "Pass Rush Win Rate". It measures how often a pass rusher beats the blocker in under 2.5 seconds. Lawson currently ranks third in the league at 41%.

I have little doubt Lawson's impact and numbers are going to keep going up as the season wears on. He's bound to have a breakout game...soon.

Yeah, the Law just needs to finish better. Happy he got a sack last week. Hopefully he is back next week and feeling good.
Heck of a pass rusher. Will need Hubbard to play well which i actually have confidence in. Great pick it seems.

Nerds understand that sacks(while awesome) are not the only way to judge a pass rusher. Dudes been getting it done and there will be a point in time when the sacks come.

Yup I think all we've seen thus far of Hubbard is the trailer, there's more to come.

I don't remember seeing any of Lawson's sacks last year, that would be flagged this year. I think he needs to get that rule out of his head and just crunch the QB.
Hubbard does whatever they ask him and does it well! Wait till he gets going!!

Putting pressure on the QB is just as good as a sack. Hoping that it starts to lead to more ints or 3rd down stoppage.

Yep. If he's beating his guy, eventually the sacks will rack up. Law of averages and all that jazz.

Right he might not end up with the Sack but the distruption is what helps....
forcing the QB to move or change target can help force errors especially if you can get a hand on them or flush them into Geno or dunlap

Lawson also has a ton of pressures. He’ll start churning out the sacks soon.

Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

The only reason we have to worry about Carl Lawson is because he doesnt play.
Why on earth this dude isn't on the field more is beyond me.

I get your point, and pressures are important, but a sack is far and away better.

Not quite the same thing. Pressure is nice, but if the qb gets the throw off and the receiver scores it's not as good as a sack. Sack ends the play definitely. Pressure and hurries often end in incompletions, but not every time and they don't lose yardage..
Unless I'm missreading exactly what pressure really is considered..

sacks are better than a pressure...unless that pressure leads to a immediate INT.
but other than that ...a sack trumps pressure.
a sack now forces the offense to throw on
the next down. whats better than a sack....a strip sack which this team hasnt done since the Ravens game

I have no doubts that as the season wears on and our defense (hopefully) tightens up their coverage that these pressures will become sacks. Dalton was one of the most sacked QBs in the league last year because he had to hold the ball too long for WRs to get separation. It wasn't always the poor offensive line.
Do you have the numbers for the rest of the DEs on our squad?

While he does receive rotational snaps, Lawson is a pass rush specialist. So keep in mind that the times that he is going to be on the field with the green light to just pin his ears back are on 3rd and long, or when the Bengals are leading by a wide margin. Sans Baltimore early, the latter has not happened. We've been rather poor on giving up yardage on first and second down, so we have not seen a ton of 3rd and long situations.
Get to those situations, and Lawson will start tearing it up...

I'd suggest paying attention, specially when we do get sacks. Lawson's movement usually is what causes the QB to step up. I've noticed several interior sacks due in part to his havoc.
