Dalton to I.R. - Bengals sign Tom Savage

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/11/26/bengals-block-tom-savages-return-to-the-49ers/#comment-6520637

Savage was a 4th round pick of the Texans in 2014. He is 2-7 as starter with a 72.5 passer rating, most of this coming in 2017.

2017 stats: 125/223 (56.1%) - 1412 yards - 5 TD's - 6 INT's (71.4 rating)

The 49ers tried to pull the 54 man roster trick to keep Savage, but the Bengals stepped in and plucked him.

Team Driskell rejoices. Worst part about this is I think as bad as we may be down the stretch this is the excuse that will save Marvin.

That's a foregone conclusion.
Everything in this post is my fault.

Will a team ever sign Colin Kap?

Sucks for Andy. Here's to hoping Driskel lights it up.

It just wasn't the Bengals year.

Happy to see how Driskel does, but Tom Savage??

I always thought Savage looks like Nicholas Cage:

Team Driskel is ready.Feel bad for Andy, but Driskel is the better Quarterback, and time will tell. But,he has an uphill battle ahead of him with this offensive line.Hopefully AJ will be back this Sunday,at least he should be.

IMO, we already had that excuse ready, but this will only strengthen it. Now Hobs can write articles listing the following injuries:

Dalton - 5 games
Green - 8 games (likely)
Mixon - 2 games
Gio - 4 games
Eifert - 12 games
Kroft - 11 games
Price - 6 games
Burfict - 4 games (suspension)
Preston Brown - 9 games
Vigil - 5 games (and counting)
Lawson - 8 games
Glasgow - 13 games
Dennard - 3 games

That's a combined 90 games total for some very important players. I mean, we all know injuries aren't why this team is falling apart, but that will definitely be the narrative, and Marv's job is safe once again.

I am actually starting to think the playoffs are out of our reach this year

I'm ready to move on from Andy at this point but im going to laugh at all the Driskel lovers when he plays like ass for the rest of the season.

At least we'll get to see some young QB's (and players) to close out the year.

We definitely weren't headed for a playoff spot, considering we were 1-5 in our last 6 games, with multiple embarrassments.

Injuries had nothing to do with Defense being the worst in the league. They sucked from day 1.
