Palmer won ONE playoff game with the Cards and then followed that with a 4 pick masterpiece in the next game posting a lower passer rating (43.2) than he did in the playoffs against the Jets in '09 (58.3). His career post season rating for the Bengals was 66.5 compared to 67.1 with the Cards.
Injury BS? He played one game with a cast on his throwing hand after an index finger dislocation on DEC 27 against GB. It's documented about the nerve damage, and of course, ACL tears in both knees, one twice. Yeah, ok.....injury BS. SMH.
How many playoff games has Merv won again?

It's maddening brother, and makes it hard for your players to overcome when it appears they're set up for failure at KO.
I know it's bulletin board fodder, but I can think of a few occasions when the opposing defenses have said they knew what we were going to run when we lined up to snap the ball. Mostly during the Zampese and Bratkowski eras. Maybe they weren't BSing.

I blame Marv. Then I blame Mike Brown for Marv.

He also had a 92.4 rating in the game he won. No QB has been able to post better than a 68.3 under Marvin in the playoffs.

I agree with a bit of everyone here. Driskel = not the one, Dalton = not the one, Marvin = not the one, Mike = not the one. I don’t think we ever find the one as long as the search begins with Mike Brown.

We played them that year. I saw him throw. He still had the same arm strength.
So, yeah, it is a BS excuse.

Certainly part of the problem. That's what happens when you are nothing more than average.

He had not dislocated his index finger on his throwing hand at that point. In the next game against SEA after injuring the finger, he was pulled because he aggravated his lat muscles by trying to adjust his throwing motion to compensate for the finger discomfort. They then subjected him to intense therapy and devised a special "taping job" to minimize the discomfort and try to get him comfortable in his throwing motion.....so, no, not BS at all.

Semi back on topic, I look for Driskel to have a nice game Sunday. I think Boyd will have an easier time getting open, and the oline should be able to keep the pass rush at bay. Also looking for Mixon to have another good game. If they can control the clock again like they did against LAC, and convert some 3s to 7s, they should win by a couple of scores or more. Other WRs not named Tyler Boyd need to step up and help the young QB out some.

That's saying something. That's in 7 tries.

Maybe...
But your boy Jake is way below average.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

Dead last in yards and points per game.
The fact we as a fan base continue to overlook the glaring issues to blame it on the single guy that touches the ball the most is always frustrating. Then again, I always use this chief factor to sort out those who have actually played a down of Football and those who haven't.
Dalton is NOT free from blame. I'm a Dalton supporter (it also helps I've worked with him several times) but the man is second in 4th qtr comebacks since entering the league. The man puts the team in a position to win. By all accounts, Carson Palmer was a better QB, on a better team, and he had a lesser record than Dalton.
Stop pointing the blame at Dalton, move on.

Yeah, 4 QB's ... same results. Seems like more than just a coincidence huh?
Kitna - 60.1
Palmer - 58.3
Dalton - 51.4
Dalton - 44.7
Dalton - 67.0
Dalton - 63.4
McCarron - 68.3

Something I've said over and over.
I wonder who coached those players.

In 2018 Vegas had 40 to 1 odds the Bengals winning the AFC North. I put down $500...if I would have won that's $20,000....Bengals winning is bad for business.

Ug, those are bad. That 44.7 game was the game where the offense was outscored by the defense (Leon Hall's pick 6). The offense only scored 2 FGs the entire game. If I remember right our offense failed to convert on all 3rd down attempts. It was like giving the ball right back to the Texans the whole game.
