But yeah, what else is there left to say. The man is a .500 coach that thrives on .500 and below teams at 1pm.

Mike Brown has a perfectly good excuse for each and every one of those.

Marvin can't run with the big dogs, but Mike won't put him on the porch.
It makes no sense ! How much more evidence do you need ?

Thank you for the very informative post. Sometimes stats are spread around here to make ML look better than he really is. We want to nip that in the bud.

Where does that rank with the rest of the teams in the league? Because Fred posted essentially the same topic but it said the Bengals were 12th best across the league. However, that was against winning teams, which includes more than just playoff teams. His stats were 42 wins against teams with winning records. So I guess that would be 42% against "teams with winning records" but drops down to 25% when that list of teams is filtered down to just those that made the playoffs? If so, that's a big dropoff.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
Sorry for Party Rocking!

In that light, 0-7 in the playoffs makes sense. It's just a continuation of how we normally play.
Of course, some 25% of those losses are to the Steelers as they essentially always make the playoffs.

Profootballreference has his record against playoff teams at 29-71-2.
19th in total wins
20th in winning percentage .294 not .250
31 of the 32 teams have losing records against playoff teams. 26 teams lost over 60% of their games against playoff teams.

His 0-4 playoff record with 1 TD, 6 INTs, 4 FUMs and a 57 passer rating sure ain't exactly faultless though.

Setting our sights high in mediocrity. We have been at least the 2nd or 1st best "average team" in the NFL since Marvin.

Makes you wonder if we are even truly contenders. Stats say we are more pretenders.

Mostly pretenders
2005 we were pretty good but we ran into Pittsburgh.
2013 we should have won, such a tragedy
2015 we had a good team but fell flat on our faces from the Arizona loss on.
