Joseph was a "hot" candidate before he was hired by Denver. I understand that the team is looking for a young innovative offensive coach so my thinking is this rules out Joseph as head coach but he could be DC candidate.

No journalist or even Lapham knows who is favored. It is against the law and/or organizational policy to reveal such because according to human resources for most organizations, the Bengals or corporation could be sued for discrimination and bias. These people are speculating and have no clue.

I hope my gut is correct and I think Katie et al. is going for a "hot" new coach and that would mean Monken, or Taylor or Waldron. I am not sure if Eric Bienienmy would fit this category but I think Eric could very well be the next Bengal coach. In speculation i say this because Eric is very blunt and truthful which gains respect from players. He holds players accountable and tells them how it is. He is the antithesis of Marvin Lewis.

If the Bengals were going internal, they would have announced it by today it seems, even if they are still interviewing new coaching positioning openings.

Also keep in mind the team doesn't have to announce everyone they are interviewing. The next Bengal head coach may not even be on he radar at this point. Unlikely but possibly.

Exactly.  I started rooting for them in the early 90s when Mora was there.  I hated the 9ers then almost as bad as Shitsburgh.  I always wanted to see them dethrone SF in the NFC West.  For a stretch there, they had a team capable of it.

Never lived in Cincinnati, but loved them since 1974. If they packed up and left, I think I would just find something else to do on Sunday. Seriously, this isn't the game I grew up with. It's entertainment now, almost to the point of knowing the ending before it happens.

I grew up playing hockey and video games. On Sundays, my dad would watch every Bengals game and I'd catch a glimpse every now and then. I knew how well or poor the Bengals were every year, but I didn't bother watching myself until college when Marvin came in.

Given how invested I am in fantasy football, I'd still be somewhat of a fan of the Bengals wherever they ended up, but I'd also probably gravitate toward the Titans now that I live there.

The Broncos have been my second favorite team since "The Drive" in '86.  But honestly if this scenario happened, I'd probably completely lose interest in the NFL.  It's hard enough to be a fan of two teams when you no longer live in either team's market, but if the Bengals aren't the Bengals anymore, I'd really have no reason to care beyond being a very casual fan of the game overall.

Will always root for the Bengals but they would have to keep their awesome helmets. Still it wouldn't be the same if they moved anywhere else, the name Cincinnati Bengals just sounds good and it wouldn't sound right anywhere else.

Wouldn't be near as big of a fan if they moved.
