Been watching some clips on Rypien from Twitter. Dude seems to be putting on a clinic from what I've seen. Really like him. Definitely someone I would consider in the 3rd round

Rypien and Ta'amu seem like the most consistent QBs so far this week.
Daniel Wise and Daylon Mack are both having a good week the former being a 3 tech the latter a Nose Tackle.
Cody Thompson and Terry Godwin cannot be covered by this level of competition.
Khalil Hodge has also made a strong impression.
So far I've seen only one meeting listed for the Bengals and it was with CB Derrick Baity.

I wonder who the Bengals are sending (if anyone) to these All-Star games given the HC and his staff aren't signed yet...
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

They do still have scouts just not at the level of some other teams. This is the time of the year it actually doesn't hinder us as much. Pro days are when it would start being an issue.

I don't believe Duke and others in his posse are just sitting on their hands lol, they're definitely involved in some way.

You're right. I completely blanked about the few scouts the Bengals have. All we ever heard in the past was this coach or that coach going to these All-Star games.

Yea, I almost wonder if this throws more power back to Tobin going forward. Marvin had slowly clawed away some from Mike but I don't think Mike is shot calling much anymore and I doubt Katie and Troy are trying to run drafting like Mike did. Could be an interesting draft in that aspect, especially if you see us break away from some of our past tendencies.

Justin Hollins is interesting as a late round end. He's light at 245 but they need to replace MJs roster spot and adding another edge rusher instead of more of a run stuffer wouldn't be the worst idea.

I like Cortez Broughton the DT out of UC if he is there in the later rounds I wouldn't mind the Bengals taking him.

He's a bit of a tweener for me. I'd be worried he get's blown out by tackles. I'd run him through LB drills and see if he can stand up and play SAM in a 4-3 under set.

I know he's only 245 lbs but he's also 6'5 so he might have the frame to put on that 15 or 20 lbs. If he does then he would be the 5th DE on the depth chart only possibly seeing the field in pass rush situations.
I've noticed alot of the defensive ends in this draft are on the lighter side.

Yea, a lot of guys who you have to decide if they are a 3-4 OLB or a 4-3 DE. With the way we are going with versatility for the NFL I think it's a good thing but there will be growing pains with a lot of these types. It's kind of the Bruce Irvin thing.

Getting alot more of the LB/S tweeners too. That's why I'm looking forward to seeing Germaine Pratt and Chase Hansen at the Senior Bowl.

I like Chase Hansen but I worry he may be a slightly better Vigil.

Wouldn't surprise me if he goes to the Steelers in the first as their weak side ILB. You don't want him taking on offensive linemen but he is smart has an explosive first step tackles covers...

I think he could measure a little smaller than people think, but as Synric notes in a 3-4 as the weak side ILB or in a 4-3 as a Will he could use athleticism to avoid linemen climbing to the second level and make plays. I'd love him at 43 if we go O line in round 1, or even if we snag White at 11 to play Mike and come back through with him as a Will to replace Burfict. I doubt he makes it to 43, but would be willing to climb to the start of the 2nd on day 2 if the is still there after night 1.
