Mark Walton Arrested

Actually, if a guy is very productive he's going to get the benefit of the doubt and if he's messing up on the field he isn't getting any benefit of any doubt at all. And I believe that is fair.

With no production the guy is one mistake from the door as it is even without an off the field problem.

Burfict didn't have off field issues though.

So your standard for waiving Walton is because he's not a star player right now...but IF AJ Green did something similar you'd look the other way? (Note: Green would NEVER do something like this.)

That's business. Mixon was awhile ago, made amends and had nothing to do with the Bengals until far afterwards. If he was a Bengal at the time, I would cut him. AJ Green has no history, and the act was not ridiculously bad, so yes, he would get a pass. Walton has already had one issue. If he had something like a sexual assault, then yes, I would cut AJ too. Knowing business is business, some teams think otherwise, as Ben still is in the league. AJ had a bad urine test, not cut. Whoever is on the practice squad gets a dirty urine, get cut.

Hate a double standard as much as you want, Robert Kraft can solicit prostitution and would get memes, while if the junior assistant to the assistant head water boy got caught, they'd kick him out. You have a value and a line to not cross and it is best to know that. Walton was an on the bubble guy to begin with; that means he is easily popped. Putting hands on someone? That's a big needle.

Pacman Jones and Robert Sands were accused of physical altercation with a female basically at the same time. We cut one of them immediately.

Athletes who perform great in games have always been given more benefit of the doubt than players who do not. It boils down to money talks, BS walks.. Fans generally don't like a team full of solid citizens who can't win games over a bunch of criminals who can win games. Kind of like politicians who put money in everyones pockets.. We'll tolerate them right up until it shows up in the bank accounts..

NFL cornerback Adam 'Pacman' Jones was in an Indiana jail Wednesday morning, according to jail records.

Jones, 35, was booked into the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center at 3:10 a.m.
According to other media reports, Jones was arrested at Rising Sun Casino.
It is unclear why Jones was arrested, but jail records state he has an "out of county" warrant.
