Why did our coaches have to come from programs that sucked (Giants,Dolphins).

Now we getting all the players that contributed to their "success".

So, if a team is bad, everyone on it suxx? You are raising Bengal bashing to an art form.

Fine McC

Let's load up on players from that bad Giants D. You're okay with it and I don't slam you for it.

I guess others can't say anything about it or prefer to get players from better defenses. Must be nice to have an opinion.

Load up? One is loading up?

I don't know anything about the guy.  But how silly is it to think every guy on a bad team is bad?  And not every player on a good defense is good.  You're making faulty connections because you think every single thing the Bengals do is wrong.

You won't hear another word from me. Ever.

If that theory were correct we dont need Atkins, Dunlap, Jackson, Hubbard, Dennard, etc. They played on a a horrible D last year too. I've never heard of the guy either but if we sign him I hope he plays well.

I know, right?  A horrible D that was worse than the Giants' D, for that matter.

If we signed these 2 guys, we'd have 3 guys from the Giants (we already signed Webb).

Not to be specific, but didn’t Hart come from NYG?

Yep. I was talking about Anarumo's guys on the defensive side though.

Hopefully these guys are a little better than Hart. LOL

Who's next? Boomer Anderson?

Riley had 4 picks last year, more than all our CB's combined.

Stats for anyone interested:

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WynnKe00.htm
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RileCu00.htm

Wynn

28 years old
5 seasons
63 games (15 starts)
131 tackles
4.5 sacks
8 QB hits

Riley

26 years old
3 seasons
27 games (16 starts)
86 tackles
5 INT's

Wynn's numbers are very weak for as much as he's played. Riley started all 16 games for the Giants last year, posting 75 tackles, 4 INT's and 5 passes defensed. It'd be interesting to see how PFF graded his performance. Fwiw, the Giants were 23rd in pass defense last year, but held opponents to a 89.8 passer rating, which was 10th best among defenses.

They also picked off 16 passes, which ranked 7th. Obviously Riley played a role in that with his 4 picks.

Actually, Riley was a Tennessee Titans project that got shipped to NY.  In his only season as a starter, he put up decent stats.  4 INTs with a TD, to go with 75 combined tackles 63 solo.  Anarumo must have liked him.

I wasn't really knocking the (potential) signings...yet. Just pointing out that we'd be signing 3 guys from the Giants defense. That's what jj22 was talking about when he said we'd be "loading up" on former Giants guys who played for Anarumo.

The Bills tried this last offseason with Bengals guys and it gave their franchise AIDS.

Lol the Raiders did the same thing, with similar results. By results, I'm also talking about AIDS.

Last year the Raiders had LaFell, McCarron, Reggie Nelson, Leon Hall, Frostee Rucker, Emmanuel Lamur, Clinton McDonald and Mike Nugent.

Meh, fine with me, both would just be back-ups. They can help their prospective groups learn the new playbook.
