First Pick Mock - Defense Edition
#1
Tried a defense-focused mock on First Pick, and really like how it turned out -- even though there's no way it happens in real life ... One reasonable trade back got me three defensive starters in the front seven and a starting G in Lindstrom, by my count. Plus a solid backup/future starting OT in Sharping, a nice backup TE in Sweeney, and two solid WR prospects in Boykin and Hardman. I thought I had also drafted Erik McCoy, but turns out it was TJ (who didn't even declare for the draft). I also really like Evan Worthington as a LB/SS hybrid. Would be very happy with this.

Round 1 Pick 13 (MIA): Ferrell, Clelin, DE, Clemson (A-)
Round 2 Pick 10: Wilson, Mack, ILB/OLB, Alabama (A-)
Round 2 Pick 16 (MIA): Tillery, Jerry, DT, Notre Dame (A-)
Round 3 Pick 8: Lindstrom, Chris, OG, Boston College (A)
Round 4 Pick 8: Marshall, Iman, CB, Southern California (A+)
Round 5 Pick 11: McCoy, TJ, C, Florida (A+)
Round 6 Pick 10: Scharping, Max, OT, Northern Illinois (A+)
Round 6 Pick 25: Sweeney, Tommy, TE, Boston College (A+)
Round 6 Pick 37 (COMP): Boykin, Miles, WR, Notre Dame (A+)
Round 6 Pick 38 (COMP): Worthington, Evan, SS, Colorado (A+)
Round 6 Pick 40 (COMP): Hardman, Mecole, WR, Georgia (A+)
Round 7 Pick 9: Smith , Saivion, CB, Alabama (A+)

Pretty wild but in the end i love the players, like you said no way this happens but who knows?

The draft is nutz. Ferrell even seems to fit us at End, Wilson is a good LB, Tillery i really liked when i watched him at ND, highly doubt either Lidstrom and Sharping fall as far as they do but damn that would be awesome, then adding McCoy as insurance in case Price needs to move to RG is a great move. Ah, just saw that he didn't declare for the draft too bad still...

All i want is for LB and RT to be taken care of in this draft, this does it and then some.

Nice mock.

I really like Lindstrom a lot. And Mack Wilson is my second favorite backer in the draft. I know he is slow but I think he has good "instincts" and he has demonstrated excellence at the highest level of SEC.
