***Official 2019 NFL Draft Discussion Thread***
For those members still depressed by the Sample pick in round 2, I have some good news, if you are a Red's fan.
The Reds are making the Redbirds into their female doggies 12-1.

No, has to be 6 months to 1.5 yrs.

Ravens got a good receiver in boykin. If he can be consistent, he's going to annoy me.

Rd 1 - Bengals got the most complete offensive lineman in the draft, and in the process instantly made the line and the offense better.

Rd 2 - I would guess that Taylor wanted to make sure he got Sample because he's a perfect fit for what he wants to do with this offense and how important the run game and play action pass will be. Getting a guy who is possibly the best inline blocking TE in the draft, and at least a dependable short range receiver, solidifies a needed piece in Taylor's system. I agree he should of probably went at least a round later, but if he winds up being what I suspect he will be, it won't really matter that he was picked a round or two before he should've been.

Rd 3 - They addressed a huge need at LB with a guy, who even though he has some rawness and needs some refining, brings coverage skills that we desperately need and holds his own in the run game, while bringing a nice combination of overall athleticism and ability to keep getting better.

Overall, I'm pretty damn happy how it's played out so far.

Spot on!

They reached , really really badly.  If you want to say, yeah they reached but i like the guy and trust taylor, that is fine. But to say they didn't,  or know body knows is just stupid
Your entire post is a big crock of crap. And who are these experts?

Actually you have no clue.

Here is how it works with you guys.  When a guy is taken much earlier than the "experts" predict it is considered a "reach"  but when a guy is taken much later than all the "experts" claim no one ever says "Every single NFL team was stupid."

The "experts" are often wrong.

How many "experts" had Greedy ranked as the #20 CB?

A *lot* of the linebacker prospects folks talked up in the draft section here as third/fourth round targets are still out there... I wouldn't mind hedging our bets at the position and adding another one or two.

Wilson, Coney, Burr-Kirven, Lamar, Long Jr, Joseph.

If Kiper was that good at identifying talent, he'd be working for an NFL team lol.

To be fair, there's only like 3 of them doing it.

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

To be fair, the only time we’ve heard “We took a Sample.” the tests have not come back favorably.

Good pick by the jags. Williams probably won't be a stud, but he's a solid linebacker. They're having my favorite draft.

True, but Vontaze is gone.
