Would much rather have Darron Lee than Rodney Anderson. Anderson likely hit his zenith in 2017 at Oklahoma, and is the RB equivalent to Eifert. Lee is a coverage LB that would fill the team’s greatest need. The LB corps is filled with underachievers and bums behind a thoroughly average Vigil/Brown and a Wildcard (Pratt).

A starting LB over a 4th string RB? Seems like a easy answer to me.

Didn't you just criticize Deshaun Davis by saying "he was just worth a sixth round pick for a reason"?
Why doesn't that same logic aply to Lee?

Maybe the team is preparing to sign Cory Littleton when he becomes UFA next season. I really thought they would have gone after him this year until I saw he was RFA.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

One thing that I don't know was pointed out was the Jets fired their GM then bam the next day they made this trade. I find that interesting.
Seems like their old GM was reluctant to part with a guy he drafted, but the new coach wanted him gone.
In that sort of scenario, I'd say there is some baggage with Lee that we may not want.
