he kicked 66.6% today with a long of 39 yards while "Shayne-king" from 45 in a game we lost by 1.
I'd bring Cody Parkey, Kai Forbath, & Sebastián Jankowski in this week for tryouts.

I’d go back in time and keep Jake Elliott

Add kicker to the 2020 wish list.
We can't fear 40+ yard attempts, and win some of these close games. But Bullock gives us no choice but to go for it on 4th down a lot more.

He nailed a 50 with plenty to spare in the preseason, so he is capable. I hate that his miss cost us the game, but it was raining. We see guys miss from that distance plenty with perfect conditions.

If it’s over 50 he’ll miss. If it’s windy he’ll miss. If it’s raining he’ll miss.
If it’s short and conditions are perfect he’ll make it. How often are conditions perfect and how long can we go without needing a long kick?

How Cole Tracy is still on the street is beyond me;
I know LSU is my team and all (well, because of Whitworth; I have 0 ties to any college team), but they consistently have the best specialists in the toughest college conference, yet nobody touches them with a 10 foot pole.
Cade York will be another great college kicker, who will probably not end up anywhere once he leaves.

Definitely a reason for the miss.
But, Hauchska kicked there for years and was a stud; yes he got regular work in the rain, but Fat Randy just doesn't rub people the right way lol.
Kinda like Nuge' but until 2016, Nuge' was a good kicker for us.

Hey I told them to pick Elliott. No I'm never letting it go.

Being complacent with Bullock is being complacent with the mediocrity that has been a hallmark of the Bengals organization for decades. It’s being completely okay with the guy who won't lose you too many games, instead of trying to find a guy who will actually win them for you. If we go out and try to find a Gostkowski, and end up finding a Boswell instead, that’s fine with me. At least we'd be trying to upgrade a position we’ve been weak at for years.

I said out loud I wouldn't have kicked on the 4th and 4 he missed, but I can understand making that choice.
Wasn't it his first miss under 50 yards in a long time?

Yes, a point that Spero brought up like 5 times and I kept yelling, "stop jinxing him!"
Bloody Greek...

Kickers all suck. I actually wonder how exciting the NFL would be if they did away with Field Goals.
Crazy but it would force teams to go for it and be more exciting 4th downs inside the 40 yard lines.
I don’t get too worked up about it because it seems all kickers blow it/choke at least a couple of times per year. (Unless they play for New England because of course they have good kickers, too)

I know he had a rough PS, but I'd get Giorgio Tavecchio.
Clutch.

You could just as easily blame Andy for losing his grip and it getting picked off in the same deluge. If he doesn't do that, we're guaranteed at least 3 more pts from a chip shot FG.
Point is, don't pin the loss on one play.

If Tavecchio was clutch the falcons wouldnt have had to resign the living fossil Bryant to be their K.

The cat in Baltimore is pretty good, too.

It really does sukk to have a missed FG and lose on the road by one, rain, snow, sleet or hail. It's what the guy is there for.
Anyone think Randy is not thinking he lost the game?

I mean I don't know, I wouldn't go that far. I'm sure he feels at least part of the blame lies on his shoulders.
