Pratt looking like Brown out there, chugging 4 yards behind a TE.

So in his 2nd start against a worse defense, Thinley somehow plays worse.

What gave it away, this year or the past 10?

Trade down and get a few extra picks.

Well, the prospects have to be there. Some of the top 15 success stories like Watson and Mahomes realistically should have been drafted higher. Their status as dual threats and their college program systems, respectively, made scouts not believe their eyes (same thing happened with Jackson). I don''t know if there's a QB with that pedigree in this draft. Obviously, judge the players once we know more information but if this QB class is:
Burrow
.
.
.
Herbert
.
.
Tua (injured, may never play again)
.
Other QBs that each have their own question marks

Do you trade down and hope you get Herbert when you have Burrow sitting right there?

Usually the "elite" guys play more then one season and are hyped for awhile. I know, not always but "usually" that is how it goes. I know prior to this season Burrows wasn't seen as a first rounder now, he's viewed as number 1 overall, that just worries me.

I'd prefer a guy like Lawrence next year who has started multiple years and had struggles and over come then.

He didn't put up elite numbers last year, but he still led the Tigers to a 10-3 record. Because he was behind OSU's QBs for the first two years of his career, it was essentially his 'freshman campaign.' He was a 4 star recruit coming out of high school and one of the top QBs coming from Ohio.

I wish he had one more year to show this year isn't a one hit wonder, but given how elite he has looked this year, with essentially no weaknesses in his game makes me believe that this year isn't a mirage. He's got the size, the accuracy, the arm strength, the decision making, the ball placement, the mobility while retaining the "traditional QB" tag (he doesn't rely on his dual threat capabilities)...I just think he's a slam dunk. Of course, no draft pick is a guarantee.

And once again a big play because of our not using a MLB...

Dumb call (to a guy just called up from the practice squad) and dumb decision by the QB who could have run right up the middle for the first.

Why do I keep seeing D. Carr pass SHORT followed by some huge chunk of yardage? Are they screen passes?
