A Late Inning Defense & Base Runner ?

I bet Billy Hamilton could be signed cheaper these days. Not a bad guy to have on the bench for late inning base running or Center Field Defense, all of which helps to Win those close 1 run games.

A roster spot for someone who plays maybe every 6th game or so and can't hit for didly squat? No thanks. The only way this makes sense is if literally everyone else on the team is out for the season.. That's like signing him to be a mop up pitcher in blowout games of 0-23 in the 9th inning..
