Dalton trade Mock
#1
Exclamation
This is with a Dalton trade for a 2nd round pick. I went heavy on the Oline. I know we have Williams but with our luck hitting on a legit Olinemen it never hurts to have extra bodies. Really wanted another LB and a CB but it just didn’t work out that way. I hope Taylor convinces the old stubborn man to be active in FA. Resign Eifert or pickup Hunter/Hooper would be a nice addition also.

Round 1 Pick 1: Joe Burrow, QB, LSU

Round 2 Pick 1: Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama

Round 2 Pick 7 (CAR): Kenneth Murray, ILB/OLB, Oklahoma

Round 3 Pick 1: Solomon Kindley, OG, Georgia

Round 4 Pick 1: Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville

Round 5 Pick 1: Ashtyn Davis, FS/SS, California

Round 6 Pick 1: Tyler Johnson, WR, Minnesota

Round 7 Pick 1: Rodrigo Blankenship, K, Georgia

People have been killing me for suggesting we could get a 2nd for Dalton. You might want to do one with us having an extra 3rd or 4th instead. Seems like the consensus is a 2nd is unrealistic.

Yea it’s pretty optimistic but there’s several logical reasons to think it could be a 2nd.

1. Mike Brown will more likely demand a 2nd, hell who knows he probably wants a 1st.

2. He’s actually been durable throughout his career. Most can be contributed to his quick release.

3. I’m not sure he’s worth a 2nd either but if a trade happens I just think it will have to be a second round for reason mentioned above. I honestly think Mike Nrown will not let him go for anything less.

Availability is a serious question here, but if that was our first four rounds I would be ecstatic.

Jedrick Willis is being mocked in the top 15 and some even have him drafted before Thomas at this point.

A second is really optimistic, but a second to a team who arguably has a better QB on contract already (Cam Newton) on a good contract is probably not the right landing spot.

I would be shocked if Willis lasted until #33.
I am not a Murray fan at all. He tackles with extended arms instead of whole body and is not physical at the point of attack.
Kindley will be gone by round 3 but possible there. If he is the Bengals need him or Sternberg.
No way Becton last until the 4th.
Johnson will be gone by end of round 4 maybe round 3.
