meaning cards......I counted 15 cards. I have my driver's license. My bank debit card. Another credit card. Two health insurance cards. A pet vet card. Two gift cards. One casino card. A Speedway card. A UDF card. A Walgreen card. Two furniture company, if I want to charge things with them, cards. And a Kroger card.
So the idea occurred to me. Why cant I have just one card with everything from all the cards stored on it. I realize there are different numbers on these cards, but seems you could make a main card and just branch all your other card numbers off it.

8 cards. 3 Money, 4 insurance related, and license.
As to your question, there are smartphone apps that store card info and can then have it scanned, I believe in a QR code format. Not sure about compatibility with some cards though.

Driver’s license, a few credit and debit cards, my health insurance card, and a couple of convenience store member cards. And no cash. I never carry cash unless I know I’m going to need it.

I keep a slim wallet. Diver's license, my VA ID, 1 debit card, 1 credit card and some cash just in case I need it.
As for the OP question, with all the data breaches that are happening I'd rather not have all my information (bank, rewards, buying habits etc.) stored on one card or one single point of data. That would require offering up all that information to the company offering such a service to put it on one card. If there is a breach then everything, my whole life more or less, is compromised at one time.
Honestly I think that is what a lot of companies want you to do, like Apple Pay or Paypal for example. They want you to centralize everything so they can track your data and sell it. The other companies like your reward cards also sell everything and that is why they offer them. I'd never offer up all my card numbers, reward card numbers, etc. to just have one card via whatever service might offer it because I know it would just be a centralized data selling service.
The personal data market is a multi billion dollar industry. Facebook is a great example of getting people to come to one place, share their personal information at no cost to Facebook while selling that data. Companies have made billions doing nothing more than getting people to share their information via a free service. As they say, "If it is free then you are the product." A free card service that held all that data would be the same. And again there is the issue of a possible data breach having all your personal information like all credit cards numbers and bank info exposed at one time.
In the big picture I don't really care if my credit card company knows I just bought a new shower curtain on Amazon and sells that data. Which in turn Amazon also sells that data. I'd rather my purchases not help the company make more money for selling my data because I bought something from them since I paid for the product. But these days it is what it is and why prices in places like Amazon are often cheaper. A one card for all system would make it even worse.

Egad, I keep mine in a file in my home desk drawer. I lost my wallet once when I was young, and it was tough to get my driver's license replaced without having my SS card. So, I keep both my SS card and Birth Certificate in that file. Now, if I have a house fire, I'm screwed. But, if I simply lose my wallet, I can cancel everything else with a couple of phone calls, and get a new driver's license with the items from the desk file.

Don't want to be repetitive, so like everyone else said, c.c, drivers license, etc.
The one thing that's different is...
I still have my written driving test, from 38 years ago.

I have 3 copies of my SS card. Wallet, Home Safe, and Security Deposit Box.
Lol I have a slight bit of OCD when it comes to paperwork.
